In the 1800s, millions of people walked, rode, and sailed across vast distances. It’s unimaginable for a modern person to imagine it taking many months just to cross a continent, or to sail to somewhere There were issues we don’t think about today: food, water, and survival. I especially imagine how close everyone got who traveled together. In a way, it’s just like a wind ensemble and the friends you make there and the lives that get changed. Journey Across the Continent invites you to imagine how it felt to walk, sail, or ride, day after day, and to finally reach your destination. This work commemorates all of those people of the past and their stories. PS. I hope you find your destination in life too!
